The first week of 2009 was one of milestones for Maggie. She had her three month check-up on Wednesday. Our friend Amy is her new pediatrician and says she's doing great. She finally breached nine pounds! She's still a bit small for her age, but she's happy and growing by the day.
Last weekend we were at my folks' house for the Fiesta Bowl game. Maggie was on the floor for tummy time. Debra said she'd seen her roll over before but I hadn't seen it. I saw her rocking back and forth on the mat and was sure she was about to flip. I called the whole family over to watch. Sure enough she rocked, rocked and rolled over on cue. She got a roaring round of applause from the family.
Finally, Wednesday night we heard Maggie's first laugh. Debra's been trying for weeks to get her to giggle. I was changing her and we were playing our usual peek-a-boo game. I gave her a little tickle, she tucked her face behind her hand as if to hide and let out a little "he-he". Debra wasn't in the room. I screamed for her to "GET IN HERE, SHE JUST LAUGHED!". Fortunately Maggie laughed one more time for Mama.

Nerd nothing! I worked hard customizing that thing. Movable Type is not the easiest to work with. Thanks for the compliment.
