Maggie's First Week

Wow, what a week. This little girl has changed our lives in such a glorious way. We can't wait to introduce her to all of you.

Maggie's first week is in the books and she's doing great. She's feeding well and is very alert. She had touch of Jaundice so the hospital sent her home with a light blanket (green light in the picture) to counteract the condition. She's better now. We're amazed, that at just one week, she's doing things like holding her pacifier and controlling her head movements. Her arms and legs are strong and very......active. This makes feeding and diapering fun. After a few tough nights, she now sleeping for blocks of 3-4 hours each night. Woo-hoo!

Debra's also doing well. She was up and walking just hours after a marathon breach birth. I'm amazed at her energy and wonderful perspective on this whole experience. She won't like me sharing this on the blog, but she's an inspiration to me. She has been every day I've known her and especially during this last week. I can tell already that Maggie's taking after her Mom.

Update: Posted more photos from week 1. Check out the Flickr photoset.
