Today Maggie turns one month old! It's hard to believe it's already been a month since she backed into this world. We've been spending most of this month just getting to know each other. I think we finally have the breastfeeding thing figured out. I'm very glad I've stuck with it, but I can definitely see why a lot of mothers give up. We still have to work out the sleeping thing. We'll have one night (like last night!) where we are sleeping 3, 4, or even 5 hours at a time. Then we'll have another night where we are up every 2 hours, sometimes going to sleep in between, sometimes not. During the day, Maggie is awake more and more in between feedings. She is interacting with us, cooing and making faces and looking at us, taking everything in. This week, she's been very clingy and wanting to be held every minute she's awake. We are so thankful for the wrap; it makes it very easy to hold her and actually go about your day at the same time. At night, she wants to sleep right next to us (or on us!) We've been trying to get her to sleep in the cradle, but she won't have it. Yikes! She's already getting spoiled!
Tomorrow we're off to the pediatrician's office. She's really been packing on the pudge since we were there last, so we're hoping her weight will reflect that. I'm thinking it will be close to a pound. I will be really happy if she's up over 7!
