A few weeks back we attended the annual Sinclair family reunion in Tempe. What a great experience. The reunion is a gathering of Diane's family, the Sinclairs, going back over 50 years. Each year they get together on Mother's Day. This year everyone sat in the shade by the hotel pool, telling stories and catching up. The kids spent the whole day in the water, battling each other with foam floaties and water guns. Who gave them those water guns anyway? That night we all had dinner at Macayos off Mill. I lost part of my hearing when the train blew its horn 10 feet from our dinner table.
I grew up in a large, close extended family. Some of my fondest memories are of large family gatherings at the Mevi ranch in Los Banos. One of the things that brought Debra and I together was our similar family backgrounds. It was a real treat meeting the rest of Debra's family.
